How does Plated enhance my photos?

Plated uses advanced AI technology to analyze your food photos and apply professional enhancements. Our AI adjusts lighting, colors, composition, and styling to make your food look its absolute best while keeping it authentic and true to the original.

What types of photos work best?

Plated works best with:

  • Clear, well-lit photos of food
  • Images where the food is the main subject
  • Photos taken from common angles (top-down, 45-degree, or straight-on)

For best results, make sure your food is visible and not blurry.

What's the difference between Menu and Editorial styles?

Menu Style: Clean, professional look perfect for restaurant menus, delivery apps like DoorDash or UberEats, and product listings. Focuses on clarity and appetizing presentation.

Editorial Style: Dramatic, eye-catching style ideal for Instagram, food blogs, and marketing materials. Features more artistic lighting and composition.

How long does enhancement take?

Most photos are enhanced in under 30 seconds. Complex images may take slightly longer. You'll receive a notification when your enhanced photo is ready.

💳 Credits & Billing

How do credits work?

Each photo enhancement uses 1 credit. You can get credits through:

  • Subscriptions: Monthly plans that include a set number of credits (10, 40, or 120 depending on your plan)
  • Credit Packs: One-time purchases of credits that never expire

Subscription credits are used first, then purchased credits (oldest packs first).

Do unused subscription credits roll over?

No, subscription credits reset each billing period and do not roll over. However, any credit packs you purchase separately never expire and can be used anytime.

What if an enhancement fails?

Credits are only deducted for successful enhancements. If a job fails for any reason, you won't be charged a credit.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  • Tap your name at the top
  • Tap "Subscriptions"
  • Find Plated and tap "Cancel Subscription"

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed through Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

🔐 Account & Privacy

What happens to my photos?

Your photos are securely uploaded, processed by our AI, and stored for 30 days so you can download your enhanced images. After 30 days, photos are automatically deleted from our servers. We never share your photos with third parties.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, please email support@plated.app from the email address associated with your account. We'll process your request within 7 days.

🔧 Troubleshooting

My photo won't upload

Try these steps:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure the image is under 10MB
  • Ensure the image is in JPEG, PNG, or WebP format
  • Try closing and reopening the app
My credits aren't showing

Pull down on the home screen to refresh your credit balance. If credits still don't appear after a purchase, try:

  • Wait a few minutes for the purchase to process
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Check your internet connection
  • Contact support if the issue persists
